Something that is imperative to keep in mind, when talking about title updates and patches, is that a large part of the waiting time is for the first parties to review and approve said updates. What this means is that Treyarch cannot simply say, “okay, players, here’s the update” and have that update appear instantly on your platform. The first parties, i.e Microsoft and Sony, must review the update before it goes live.
